Warning: Restriction of activities in Ensenada due to the increase in coronavirus

As already commented on this portal, Health Secretary Alonso Pérez Rico said he was concerned about the increase in Covid-19 cases that were being observed in Ensenada in recent days.

So far, this municipality of Baja California is the one with the highest incidence per 100,000 inhabitants with respect to active cases, being this 47.98.

In turn, of the 979 active cases registered up to this Saturday morning in the state, 207 are located in this port, which is close to reaching Mexicali, where such cases total 217.

Derived from this, today the head of this agency reported that the following week will begin to analyze “all the activities that are in that territory to start with restrictions.”

According to the Secretary’s report, of the 41,649 positive cases accumulated in the region, 6,248 belong to Ensenada, where in the last 24 hours it presented 20 new cases.

Regarding deaths, of the 6 thousand 869 that occurred in the state, 955 were in this municipality, which also from one day to the next added 12 new deaths.
