Mazatlan hotels register 60% occupancy on Christmas Day

Mazatlan, Sinaloa (December 25, 2020).- The Christmas Holidays generated an occupation in Mazatlan hotel industry of 60%, mainly domestic tourism, this information was revealed by Julio Birrueta, director of the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies.

He stated that this figure cannot be compared with previous years due to the current health emergency that is being experienced worldwide, however, he trusted that next year the situation will improve.

Julio Birrueta is confident that with the Covid-19 vaccine , from the second semester of next year, everything will eventually go back to normal.

The hotel leader acknowledged that very few foreigners have come to the city, since Canadians are still limited by the pandemic. He affirmed that the possibility of bringing more flights from February is being considered.
