Mazatlan finally has a Center for Diagnosis and Attention of Covid-19

At the site, care and guidance will be provided to vulnerable families who do not have financial resources to treat this disease

Mazatlán, Sinaloa- The Covid-19 Diagnosis and Attention Center was officially inaugurated in Mazatlán, a Municipal Government project that will seek to support low-income people who cannot support the expenses against the disease,

The inaugural ribbon was cut by the state governor, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, and the municipal president, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, who at the same time paid a tribute and unveiled a plaque in honor of ‘Ismael Tiznado Ontiveros’, former manager of Jumapam who lost the fight against covid-19.

COVID CENTER

In his message, Benítez Torres acknowledged that this event represents a lot of happiness, but also sadness for what just happened with Ismael Tiznado Ontiveros.

“When the governor surprised me by opening the Cell Center here in Mazatlán, we were already under construction of the Covid-19 Diagnostic Center, I told him: you have to realize that what you donate to the city today and what we are doing to you is going to complement to help those who have less, “he said.

For his part, Ordaz Coppel acknowledged to the mayor that it is the opportune moment to do this great work, work that helps the people who need it most.

“This center is to support the neediest people, it is not just anything because it has a high cost for the Municipal Government, it is an agreement with a very recognized Mazatlan institution and going further to give those who come out positive the medicine implies an investment strong, “he stressed.

On July 1, the date on which the port was opened to the economy after spending more than 90 days in recession, Mayor Benítez Torres made the official announcement about the opening of this center to care for vulnerable families, and almost three months later, said project crystallized.

COVID CENTER

After the inauguration, a minute of applause was given in memory of Ismael Tiznado Ontiveros, who died yesterday from Covid-19 and served as general manager of the Municipal Board of Potable Water and Sewerage of Mazatlán during the current administration.

The Center for Diagnosis and Attention of Covid-19 in Mazatlán is located behind the municipal hospital, Margarita Maza de Juárez.
