He said that he understands the importance of guaranteeing the control of this preventive measure, however, he considered that implementing sanctions or punishments for citizens is not the best way to raise awareness.
He stated that, as soon as contagions in Mazatlan accelerate in the face of the economic reactivation, he will clearly reform the prevention and distancing measures in public places, but that, for the time being, he cannot “force anything”.
“We have tolerance right now, but the moment it begins to aggravate insurance, we take strong and rigorous measures. I am not going to force people to wear face masks, we come to make the citizen aware, nothing is forcibly, everything in understanding,” he said.
