Durango, Dgo. (April 8, 2020): 84 suspected cases, 156 negative, 14 confirmed positive, 4 deaths.
During the press conference held by the state health secretariat regarding COVID-19 in Durango, the agency’s head, Sergio González Romero reported that the number of confirmed cases has increased to 14 in the state.
Thus, the head of the SSE, noted that, from February 22 to April 07, a total of 254 cases that meet the operational definition of COVID 19 have been studied, obtaining as a result the 14 already confirmed cases, 156 cases negative, 84 more awaiting results and 4 deaths.
The official announced that the first case corresponds to a 34-year-old male patient from the municipality of Gómez Palacio who does not report having made trips or having contact with an infected person.
Regarding the second case, he referred to a 54-year-old female from Gómez Palacio, who also did not report any travel history and began showing symptoms on March 29, adding that it is known that the latter also has diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.
