Rosario, Sinaloa (April 1st, 2020).- Due to the Covid – 19 coronavirus pandemic, this year’s edition of the traditional Feria de La Primavera (Spring fair), has been suspended.

Rosario mayor Manuel Antonio Pineda Domínguez was the one who announced the suspension of this regional Fiesta, that was scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 10, as well as other events that stem from this fair.

He commented that the agreements and contracts that were held with artists and musical groups were canceled because the Spring Fair has been suspended.

Like the spring fair, the mayor announced the cancellation of other upcoming massive events, that year after year are held by the Rosario City Council, such as Children’s Day (April 30), Mother’s Day (May 10) and Teacher’s Day (May 15).

The fact that this fair and other events in other parts of Mexico, that were programmed for May, are being canceled, probably means that the quarantine could last 60 days (instead of only 30, as most people think).
