Lawyers and government work to repatriate ‘El Chapo’, that’s what the drug lord’s mother told AMLO.

Lawyers for ‘Chapo’ Guzmán have given information to cabinet members to seek the repatriation of the drug lord, according to a letter from El Chapo’s mother sent to AMLO.

In a letter delivered to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, María Consuelo Loera Pérez, mother of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, told him that the lawyers of the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel are working with federal officials to repatriate his son, who was sentenced in United States to life in prison.

In the typewritten letter, Mrs. Loera greets the president as “Brother in Christ” (which probably means that they both belong to the same Christian Church), and continues another letter that she gave him last year.

“I wish to inform you of the following in this regard. Our attorneys José Luis González Meza and Juan Pablo Badillo are in direct contact with those whom you appointed for the repatriation of my beloved son, Juaquín (sic) Archivaldo Guzmán Loera. The federal officials are the Secretary of the Interior, Foreign Relations, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Attorney General of the Republic ”, she pointed out.

The letter added that all the evidence where “it is clear” that her son was “illegally” handed over to the United States has already been released to the aforementioned officials.

“Nothing would make me and my family happier to see him where he should be in a prison in Mexico,” he wrote.
