The removal of Adan Lopez from the Senate, impacts directly in the State of Hidalgo

According to the news site Criterio Hidalgo, the national events surrounding the removal of Adán Augusto López Hernández from his position as coordinator of the Morena senators also have repercussions in Hidalgo. This decision has once again left the Grupo Universidad (University Group) unprotected, as it is well known that the federal legislator had protected the group, which is led behind the scenes by Gerardo Sosa Castelán, in exchange for support.

It is worth recalling that when Adán Augusto was Secretary of the Interior, he helped secure Sosa’s release from prison, a situation for which Rector Octavio Castillo publicly expressed his gratitude. Now that the Tabasco native has been effectively sidelined, it remains to be seen how much loyalty the university community will show him, or if, as might be surprising, they will turn their backs on him, given the Grupo Universidad’s long history of betrayals.

— According to Criterio Hidalgo, IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute) users in Hidalgo highlighted the public health institution’s lack of planning. Despite having appointments scheduled for February 2nd, they were denied entry and could not be seen because it was a holiday. The serious issue is that the institute failed to anticipate this situation and continued scheduling appointments, playing with the time and patience of its patients.

— According to Criterio Hidalgo, the General Directorate of the Hidalgo State College of Baccalaureate (Cobaeh) deducted half of the first two weeks’ pay from contract staff. Initially, the pretext was that only days worked would be paid, even though the vacation period ran from December 22nd to January 6th. However, when the affected staff complained, management stated they needed the money for other matters, without explaining where the funds, already earmarked for payroll, went.

— It is said… that another production with a drug trafficking theme is expected to be filmed in Hidalgo, which has sparked debate about the image this situation projects of the state.

The controversy intensifies with the mention that David Castillo, husband of the Secretary of Tourism, Liz Quintanar, will participate as an actor in the film “Sin salida” (No Way Out); the question is whether he received a little help to be cast. Adding to this is the concern that the 60 million pesos that these productions are presumed to generate are not visibly benefiting the state.
