The Mexico Ministry of Health continues to report probable and confirmed measles cases during the first month of 2026.
As of January 30, 2026, 4,158 cumulative probable measles cases and 1,479 confirmed cases have been reported from 32 Mexican states.
States reporting the most confirmed cases since the beginning of the year include Jalisco (829), Chiapas (216), Sinaloa (88) and Mexico City (86).
The cumulative confirmed measles cases reported in Mexico since Jamuary 2025 is now 7,909.
Health officials also reported the first measles fatality of the year in Michoacán state. This brings the measles death toll since the beginning of 2025 to 26.
