Mazatlán Welcomes Over 51,000 tourists on 15 Cruise Ships in January

International visitors generate over 82 million pesos in revenue.

In January, Mazatlán welcomed 51,920 cruise ship tourists aboard 15 vessels, generating over 82 million pesos in revenue.

Sinaloa’s Secretary of Tourism, Mireya Sosa Osuna, highlighted that a strategy focused on promoting and attracting the cruise industry has generated significant activity in the port, benefiting the local economy.

Last Arrival of the Month

This Thursday, January 29, the “Norwegian Bliss” arrived from Puerto Vallarta with 4,242 passengers and 1,612 crew members, marking the final arrival of the month.

After disembarking at 7:30 a.m., the cruise passengers visited the port’s most iconic tourist sites, such as the Cliff Diver, Liverpool Alley, Machado Square, the Cathedral, and the Pino Suárez Market.

They also took advantage of their time in Mazatlán to explore the Malecón (boardwalk), the Golden Zone, the Centennial Promenade, and other attractions, as well as to sample Mazatlán’s cuisine.

According to the National Port System Administration’s schedule, Mazatlán will receive 13 cruise ships in February.
