Governors of Tabasco and Veracruz Rank Lowest in Approval Ratings

The governors of Tabasco, Javier May, and Veracruz, Rocío Nahle García, are vying for the lowest national approval ratings in November 2025, according to a report by analyst Roy Campos. May’s approval rating ranges from 42.1% to 39.3%, while Nahle’s ranges from 41.7% to 39.4%, placing them 31st and 32nd, respectively.

The analysis also identifies Miguel Ángel Navarro of Nayarit, Laida Sansores of Campeche, Evelyn Salgado of Guerrero, David Monreal of Zacatecas, and Víctor Castro of Baja California as the governors with the lowest approval ratings. In contrast, the top five spots are held by the governors of Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí (Ricardo Gallardo), Jalisco (Pablo Lemus), Coahuila (Manolo Jiménez), and Aguascalientes (Tere Jiménez).

According to Consulta Mitofsky, 20 of the country’s 32 governors have approval ratings exceeding 50%. Among the 13 women leading state governments, Mara Lezama, Tere Jiménez, Libia Denis García, Clara Brugada, and Lorena Cuéllar stand out. Regarding the 17 coastal states, those on the Pacific coast have the highest average approval ratings, with Pablo Lemus, Salomón Jara, and Marina del Pilar Ávila leading the way in that region, and Mara Lezama, Joaquín Díaz Mena, and Américo Villarreal on the Atlantic coast.

The average approval rating for governors in November 2025 places Tabasco and Veracruz among the lowest in the country, while 20 of the 32 governors have approval ratings exceeding 50%.
