Record-Breaking Tourism in Mexico as International Arrivals and Revenue Climb

In 2025, Mexico’s tourism sector keeps doing great, getting 14% more international visitors between January and September. Mexico’s tourism also continued strong growth, with 6.4% more tourists, and 6.2% more tourism spending, totaling over 25.7 billion pesos (about $1.39 billion). Mexico’s growth is due to both traditional and new markets, primarily from Asia, with strong tourism growth from South Korea and China.

More foreign tourists are Mexico’s continuing attempts to widen the spending profile and market mix of travelers and the country, setting up new Mexico tourism promotion to China, and expanding the country’s cruise tourism with more cruise terminals. With 10.6% more cruise passengers and 11.6% more cruise tourism spending. These statistics show the growing and strong global tourism position of the country.

Growth in International Visitor Arrivals and Tourism Revenue

The Mexican tourism Sector has seen a significant boost due to increased international visitor arrivals and higher visitor spending. Mexico experienced significant advances in the tourism sector owing to international travel and tourism diversification. Predictions indicate that Mexico will experience significant advances in tourism due to the rapid diversification of beach and cultural tourism.

The growth in international arrivals to Mexico is also reflected in a 6.4% increase in the total number of visitors to Mexico. This demand is evident in the fragmented tourist areas in Mexico such as Cancún, Riviera Maya, Mexico City, and Los Cabos.

The classic tourism revenue indicator also grew 6.2% to 25.7 billion pesos (US$1.39 billion). This also confirms the increased visitor spending in Mexico.
