On the afternoon of Friday, November 21, agents of the Yucatán Public Security Secretariat (SSP) arrested Arturo Millet Reyes on the Valladolid-Mérida federal highway, near the Teya Bridge checkpoint.
The arrest was made pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by a sentencing judge.
The arrest occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m., after the Third Sentencing Judge ordered his detention, ruling that Millet Reyes had neither complied with the restitution ordered in a criminal case nor voluntarily appeared to comply with the court order.
The case involves a breach of trust involving approximately $2.8 million.
The arrest was confirmed through the National Registry of Detentions, which indicates that the detainee would be transferred to the Mérida State Prison (Cereso).
