Seventeen migrants were rescued from a house in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua; they were waiting to cross into the US

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua (November 20, 2025) – A group of 17 migrants were rescued from a house in the Puerto la Paz neighborhood of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

The rescue took place after a report to the 911 emergency line, which prompted the mobilization of officers from the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), who went to the location where the group was found.

Of the 17 people rescued, 12 are from Guatemala, one from El Salvador, one from Ecuador, and three are Mexican.

According to reports, they were all waiting for an opportunity to cross into the United States.

After the intervention, the police officers checked the physical, psychological, and health conditions of the group, and they were subsequently turned over to the National Migration Institute (INM).
