“President Claudia Sheinbaum singled me and other young people out in her morning press conference simply for inviting others from Generation Z to participate in Saturday’s march,” said the young man identified on his social media as Edson Andrade.
Andrade continued his speech, expressing his fear of reprisals for having been exposed at the president’s morning press conference:
“I hold her directly responsible for anything that might happen to me, because she exposed me in a country where voices that speak out are silenced, as happened to Carlos Manzo,” he stated in a 1:26-minute video.
“When have you ever seen the president put the photos of protesters on a wall?” the young man questioned.
“Let me make this perfectly clear, Madam President, you are not going to intimidate us; this Saturday’s march is just the beginning. I have never been a member of any political party, nor am I currently a member of any party, nor have I ever been a candidate for anything,” Andrade concluded.
Many things have been happening after the terrible police repression that was recorded at the long-awaited youth march against insecurity.
