In just four months, Claudia Sheinbaum’s government sent more subsidized fuel to Cuba than López Obrador sent in two years.

-58 shipments between May and August 2025.
-More than 60 billion pesos in gasoline, diesel, and crude oil.
-All through Gasolinas Bienestar, a Pemex subsidiary that has already accumulated losses and a debt of 5.836 billion pesos.

The most delicate aspect: some of the fuel was transported on the Sandino tanker, which has been blacklisted by the United States since 2019 for operations with Venezuelan oil.

Meanwhile, Pemex faces a debt exceeding 101 billion dollars, and millions of Mexicans continue to pay for increasingly expensive fuel.

The “gifted” amount is equivalent to the entire national public security budget for 2026.

And so far, there is no clear official explanation: was it a donation? An agreement? An unaffordable credit sale?

While our country struggles with debt, cutbacks, and emergencies like the Veracruz floods, the government is sending fuel to a foreign dictatorship.
