Casona 333, where Armando Manzanero’s piano welcomes you to the exclusive and historic property, is the preamble to the first headquarters of the Minor Hotels’ new accommodation concept, which, with 70 residences, will seek to be a unique and unrepeatable concept.

  • Casona 333 welcomes you to the luxury and exclusivity of Tivoli Mérida Residences, where Armando Manzanero’s piano is part of the attractive experience.

After highlighting that Minor Hotels have chosen Mérida to launch the story of its Tivoli concept in Mexico, specifically in the Yucatecan capital, interest in this hotel offering, distinguished by its luxury and exclusivity, increases upon hearing that Casona 333—where Armanzo Manzanero’s grand piano takes center stage, already the setting for important concerts—is part of the attraction that tourists will have starting in 2026.

“The arrival of Grandes Residences is an action that will materialize in Mexico in Mérida, because Tivoli, one of the brands that make up the Minor Hotels portfolio in the luxury segment,

is already being built in the Yucatecan capital,” said Christian Daghelinckx, Managing Director America Minos Hotels Europe & Americas.

When presenting the details of the new luxury concept coming to downtown Mérida, the executive emphasized that it is “a unique and unrepeatable concept,” both for its physical characteristics and the services it will offer.

From the outset, he emphasized that La Casona 333, “a henequen hacienda that belonged to Don Bernan Berzunza and Consuelo Gutiérrez, a family of henequen farmers, whose neoclassical architecture was influenced by France,” will be the site of the first Tivoli in Latin America; therefore, the building, considered a historical monument, had to be restored under the supervision of the local Institute of the Arts.

The executive reported that the service for its residences — currently in the interior design stage — will be available in 2026. In addition to providing hospitality to tourists, they will also be available for purchase by the hotel company for management and to provide the owners with their respective profits.

Although Casona 333, which will eventually be the welcoming place for guests, houses the main reception, restaurant, bakery, bar, piano lounge, and some of the common services, as well as a beautiful garden and intimate patio for private events, it already offers the luxury and exclusivity that distinguishes the brand through the concerts that are regularly offered.it

He even mentioned that, as part of the philosophy of combining the secrets of Mérida with the European luxury that distinguishes the brand at the first Tivoli in Mexico, the public can now experience Armando Manzanero’s grand piano, which was also used by Agustín Lara, José José, and Juan Gabriel; and whose notes have been featured on Luis Miguel’s album “Romances.”

“The piano we have at Casona 333 is very special because it has a lot of history and we were able to acquire it thanks to the closeness we had with the maestro , to whom we had even proposed to put a statue of his life-size, but unfortunately he died; However, we were lucky that

his children were selling the piano, we acquired it and now it is part of all the cultural wealth that we are concentrating in the first Tivoli in Mexico.

Currently, Casona 333 offers concerts and features a piano, but it also accommodates individuals who request to play it. This can be done in the Piano Lounge, a space where social events are held and serves as a precursor to the luxury concept being developed in the center of Mérida.

Founded in 1933 in Lisbon, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is synonymous with luxury and sophistication, combining tradition and modernity to create unforgettable stays.

It currently has offices in Brazil, Qatar, and China, as well as in  Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, where it has taken its concept of luxury and exclusivity.
