Just an hour from Pachuca, the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Mineral del Chico has earned recognition as one of the country’s main adventure tourism capitals.
Surrounded by towering mountains, crags, and lush forests, the destination is home to several ecotourism parks that offer extreme experiences for adrenaline seekers.
Among them is Carboneras Ecological Park, a space that combines the beauty of its forested landscapes with the excitement of high-altitude activities.
Its zip line circuit—which is 1,400 meters long—, hanging bridges, a balance line, and a 50-meter rappel are some of its main attractions.
The park is open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
General admission costs 30 pesos per person, while individual activities start at 225 pesos. A package that includes all experiences is also available for approximately 630 pesos.
