Student reports harassment by teachers at school in Chiapas; one suspect was arrested.
On July 18th, during the closing ceremony at a school in Pijijiapan, Chiapas, a student used her graduation speech to make a public complaint about alleged harassment and bullying by some teachers, especially José “N.”
The young woman stated that she and other students had been victims of inappropriate comments and practices. She also noted that these behaviors had occurred at the school for several years.
After the report was disseminated, state authorities arrested the alleged perpetrator and are continuing the corresponding investigation.
