New beginnings, same commitment to service!
On Saturday, July 12th, the official inauguration of the new board of directors of Rotaract San Luis Potosí, the Rotary Club of San Luis Potosí, and its sister club, Rotaract Tec de Monterrey Campus SLP, took place.
With this ceremony, the new Rotary year 2025-2026 begins, filled with energy and a renewed conviction to continue serving the Potosino community passionately.
All members of the Rotary Club deeply appreciate the achievements, leadership, and dedication of their former president, Roberto Martínez de Alba, who leaves an indelible mark on this closing cycle.
Rotarians welcomed the new president of Rotaract SLP, Mr. Adán García, as well as the entire new board of directors, who will guide this new year with commitment, vision, and teamwork.
The board also extended its gratitude to Mr. Joel de la Cruz, former president of the Rotary Club of San Luis Potosí, for his dedication during his tenure, and they also enthusiastically welcomed Dr. José Andrés Azcarate Varela, the club’s new president.
A Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. José Andrés Azcárate, is well known among Rotarians nationwide for his constant altruistic work operating on low-income children with cleft lip and palate. Throughout his long career, he has operated on hundreds of children with this condition in San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas, and other states in Mexico.
Finally, Rotarians proudly congratulated Ana Laura Tenorio, who takes over as the new president of the sister club, Rotaract Tec de Monterrey Campus SLP.
The best is yet to come for this great Rotary Family in the city of San Luis Potosi!
