Is the INE helping Morena to locate and censor “inconvenient” journalists?

According to a social media report, the National Electoral Institute is providing the Morena regime with personal information to quickly locate them and intimidate them face-to-face.

The electoral institute seeks to censor information about fuel theft.

On Wednesday, May 14th, a process server from the Tamaulipas Electoral Institute arrived at the home of one of the main columnists for the newspaper EL UNIVERSAL, based in Mexico City, to inform him that both he and EL UNIVERSAL were being sued by a person whose name was omitted from the notification.

The document ordered the newspaper to remove from its website the column in which the author discusses the ties between Morena supporters and figures linked to fuel theft from Pemex, who used the proceeds of this illicit activity to fund political campaigns.

Furthermore, it was ordered not to address the topic again. When the process server was asked how he obtained the columnist’s address, he replied that it was provided to him by the INE through an agreement.

Several questions. Does the electoral institute have the authority to exercise current and future censorship of journalistic content? Can the INE provide the data that citizens entrust to them so that anyone who is criticizing them can be located? Is the Tamaulipas state governor, Américo Villareal, aware of this outrage that borders on censorship?
