The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office reported nine cases of people who were injected with syringes on the Mexico City Metro.
Authorities reported that the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case of nine people who reported being “pinched” while traveling on this transport or the Metrobús between March 14 and April 19.
The Prosecutor’s Office detailed that the seven women and two men, between the ages of 16 and 44, are safe and received medical attention. Drug tests were also performed, but they did not produce any positive results.
The Prosecutor’s Office added that the risk of kidnapping was ruled out and issued recommendations in case a passenger notices anything unusual or feels a pinch or sting, such as pulling the emergency lever or approaching security or Metro personnel.
