11 bodies found in the Mezquitillo ejido, Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The number of bodies found in clandestine graves in the Mezquitillo ejido, between Culiacán and Eldorado, rose to 11 this Monday, April 21, after searchers discovered more remains in an area known as the curve, near a drain and some grain warehouses.

Initially, there were reports of seven bodies, but as the search progressed, 11 bodies were found spread across at least seven graves.

The discovery occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m., following a report alerting to possible illegal burials at the site.

So far, experts from the State Attorney General’s Office are just preparing to formally examine the first grave, while searchers continue to locate human remains in the surrounding area.
