In Morelos, Ivon Maricela, a young woman who disappeared in Coyoacán, was found dead; her body was returned to her relatives.

The Morelos Prosecutor’s Office reported that the body has tattoos that match those of Ivon Maricela López Rosendo.

The Morelos Prosecutor’s Office reported that the recovery and transfer of the body to the nation’s capital was carried out in coordination with their counterparts in Mexico City.

In Morelos, authorities revealed that video surveillance footage shows LĂłpez Rosendo accompanied by two women on an electric tricycle before entering a home.

The woman’s body was found last Monday, March 31, in a state of decomposition, on a dirt road in the center of Xoxocotla, an indigenous municipality located in southern Morelos.

Family members and friends of IvĂłn Maricela bid farewell this Thursday to the young woman who was found dead in the state of Morelos after last being seen with two unknown women in Mexico City.

They also protested at the building where IvĂłn was captured, entering, still alive, with the women mentioned above. The building was guarded by authorities during the three-day search for the young woman.

The two women were reportedly arrested on Thursday, April 3, for their involvement in the incident, although a third person has been identified as responsible but has not yet been arrested.

Maricela Rosendo Camacho, Ivón Marciela’s mother, says her daughter was found dead in another state three days after disappearing in Mexico City.

She asks the authorities to ensure that her daughter’s femicide does not go unpunished to prevent others from continuing to risk experiencing what Ivón endured.
