The Attorney General of Oaxaca reported the arrest of Alba Mier Castellanos, who served as municipal president of Mártires de Tacubaya, Oaxaca, from 2016 to 2018.
The former official is accused of committing crimes against health, and during her arrest multiple doses of the drug known as crystal were seized from her.
Her arrest occurred during a surveillance tour by the authorities of the Reforma neighborhood, who detected a suspicious attitude in the woman and pursued her after she tried to flee upon seeing the uniformed officers.
