Oaxaca with strong presence at ANATO Colombia’s International Tourism Fair

The head of the Oaxaca Tourism Secretariat (Sectur), Saymi Pineda Velasco, inaugurated the stand that represents the state in the 44th edition of the Tourism Showcase of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO) in the city of Bogotá, Colombia; considered the most important tourism event in this country.

Together with municipal authorities of Santa María Huatulco, tourism representatives from the main destinations in the state and the Mexican ambassador to Colombia, Martha Patricia Ruiz Anchondo; the Secretary highlighted that the participation of Oaxaca in the event reaffirms the position of the state as one of the most outstanding destinations in Mexico and the world.

Likewise, she stressed the importance of promoting the wide tourist offer of the Oaxacan state to attract Colombian visitors, who are the third largest source market for international tourists to Mexico.

From February 26 to 28, Oaxaca will carry out a series of activities that include gastronomic activations with coffee and mezcal tastings, business meetings and media attention; to promote its tourism products among buyers and professionals in the sector, as well as generate strategic alliances.

The stand has 33 square meters, equipped with two giant screens and 12 booths for work meetings; a space in which 37 representatives of the Oaxacan delegation made up of Sectur Oaxaca and destinations such as Oaxaca City, Bahías de Huatulco and Puerto Escondido will hold meetings with tour operators and specialized media.

The scheduled actions include meetings with the tourism, foreign investment and export agency: ProColombia; the airlines Volaris and Transportes Aéreos Guatemaltecos (TAG) Airlines; and the travel agency PriceTravel.
