A worrying case of bullying at the “Plan de Ayala” secondary school, located in the municipality of Rioverde, San Luis Potosí, has come to light through videos shared on platforms such as WhatsApp and TikTok.
The images show a group of at least four students involved in acts of violence against a classmate, who appears tied up, gagged, and subdued in a classroom.
In the videos, two young men are seen watching the classroom door, while another records, and a fourth appears to coordinate the acts. The victim, sitting at a desk, has his hands and feet tied with tape and is threatened by one of the aggressors.
At one point in the video, one of the students warns: “This is going to happen to all of you who are sucking cock,” and later shows a pair of scissors while ordering: “stick the scissors in his butt.”
The Education Secretariat of the Government of San Luis Potosí confirmed that the case is already under investigation after the family of the assaulted young man filed a formal complaint two weeks ago.
In addition, it was reported that the Office of the Protection of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents is following up on the case since all those involved are minors.
This incident has generated outrage on social media and highlights the urgency of reinforcing measures against bullying in educational institutions.
On the other hand, the modus operandi, the language used by the leader of the bullies, and how the victim is tortured show the tremendous influence of the so-called narco culture on Mexican youth.
The state authorities have reiterated their commitment to guarantee the safety and well-being of the students, while investigations continue to determine responsibilities and apply the corresponding sanctions.
