The San Marcos National Fair in Aguascalientes, one of the most important in Mexico, will take place from April 19 to May 11.

We are talking about three weeks full of activities, clubs, casinos, bullfights, the best restaurants, Mexican tradition and totally free concerts, which take place in different venues such as the Palenque, Foro del Lago and the Foro de las Estrellas.

This state fair is one of the oldest and, over time, San Marcos Fair has become an important tourist attraction, since every year the city receives visitors from all over the country and abroad.

This great celebration managed to position the state as a place full of culture. The tradition has remained alive for almost two centuries and continues to evolve.

For the 2025 edition, the guest country is Japan, while the selected state is Sonora. On the other hand, the lineup will be made up of more than 20 national and international artists ranging from the genre of regional Mexican, pop, rock, and even electronic. With great bands like Scorpions, and The Killers, just to name just a few.

The best thing about this fair is that, besides being free, you don’t need to register, since you get in as you arrive to line up at the venue. There are no preferential places or front rows, however, the shows at the Palenque do have a cost depending on the artist and the area selected in the arena.

Scorpions is a German hard rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. The longest-running and most successful line-up of the band included Schenker, Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums), and lasted from 1978 to 1992.
