On January 15th, Banjército put into operation on the limits of Piedras Negras and Nava the new module for the processing of auto embargoes and the temporary internment of foreign vehicles, procedures that the countrymen previously carried out in the module on Highway 57 in Allende, Coahuila.
The module is located in the southern part of the city and temporary import procedures and those of the countrymen can be carried out in person or online.
The Secretary of Government, Oscar Pimentel, after concluding a meeting in the Military Zone, congratulated the Defense Secretariat and Banjército for the inauguration of this module that will facilitate the procedures for the countrymen.
The official recalled the security of Coahuila and Piedras Negras, the safest border municipality on the northern border.
He also stated: “First of all, I would like to congratulate Sedena and Banjército for the installation of this module that will facilitate all the procedures that compatriots have to do to enter the country.”
He pointed out that there, compatriots can do the procedures in person “so that they can take advantage of these very well-designed facilities.
However, the new Banco Nacional del Ejército (Banjercito) module in Piedras Negras began operations, the one that had been operating since 1998 in the facilities of the old gate at kilometer 53, in the municipality of Allende, stopped working.
This was indicated by Pedro Sánchez Araiza, Director of Border Banking Services, who explained that the plan from the beginning was to bring the services of this institution closer to the border.
We are already officially receiving countrymen in this office and we kindly invite them to go to this module, said the federal official.
In this way, in Piedras Negras, there are now two modules: the new one, located in front of the facilities of the forty-seventh military zone, and the module at International Bridge number II.
Regarding the procedures for temporary vehicle importation for compatriots, Sánchez Araiza recommended doing them online, since it facilitates the process considerably and avoids the conglomeration of vehicles, giving greater fluidity.
