The Public Registry to Avoid Advertising (REPEP) offered by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency is a protection mechanism that facilitates the right not to be bothered with unwanted advertising and ensures that citizens’ personal information is not used for marketing or advertising purposes.
The Federal Consumer Protection Agency is not responsible for telephone calls made by financial service providers, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, persons with collection functions, political organizations, charitable entities, and telephone surveyors.
The Federal Consumer Protection Agency invites all citizens to register in the Public Registry to Avoid Advertising by calling from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey at 96 28 00 00 and from the rest of the Mexican Republic at 800 962 8000.
