A woman was the victim of an assault by Roberto Pérez, mayor of San Pedro Ixtlahuaca, Oaxaca; for which the Oaxaca Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation file.
The images show how the municipal leader pulls the woman’s hair and then violently snatches her cell phone, while multiple people present ask him to calm down and let go of the woman’s hair.
After the outrageous event, the state governor, Salomón Jara, asked San Pedro Ixtlahuaca Mayor Roberto Pérez to resign from his position, the mayor only asked for temporary leave.
