The vehicle in which Jesús Eduardo Franco Lárraga, mayor of the Tancanhuitz municipality, in the state of San Luis Potosí, was traveling, was attacked with bullets.

The 32-year-old official came to the mayor’s office for the Morena party and had been in office for less than three months.
Three more people died in the attack, the mayor’s personal assistant, and two bodyguards, whose names have not been revealed so far.
