Consternation in Mexican wrestling, as the death of wrestler Roy Calavera has been confirmed after being shot last Saturday in the state capital.
Rogelio Valdés Briones, given name, was attacked at his Michelada stand located in a Tianguis south of the City of Puebla.
Valdés, better known by his wrestler name Roy Calavera, was shot dead this Saturday, November 9, in the middle of a public street south of Puebla while he was standing by his Michelada stand.
Two subjects on board a motorcycle intercepted the wrestler in what is reported as a direct attack, leaving him lying on the ground with multiple bullet wounds.
Unofficial sources indicate that Valdés had refused to pay “Derecho de Piso” protection fees for his Michelada business.
Valdés Briones (aka Roy Calavera) started this business after leaving his long-time job as a truck driver.
