One of the ceiling roofs inside the General Hospital of Zone No. 89 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, collapsed scaring hospital workers during the morning of this Tuesday, October 22.
The accident would have occurred in a hall of a section for administrative work, at a time in which there were no workers present, according to the witnesses.
It wasn’t until the arrival of government employees that they noticed that, at least, a concrete structure, in addition to aluminum and masonry, had collapsed on medical monitoring devices that were protected in the hall.
So far, no authority has spoken about it, but the necessary protocols are already carried out, in order to avoid another incident of this type.

The hospital employees, located in the Modern Colony of the city of Guadalajara, recorded and disseminated the images of the collapse, concerned about the maintenance conditions of the building.
The affected area is removed from waiting rooms and the spaces destined for patients and their relatives, so the accident did not affect the daily operation of health services.
