Pablo Lemus was the municipal president of Guadalajara from 2021 to 2023. In the 2024 elections, he will be the governor-elect of Jalisco for the Citizens’ Movement (Movimiento Ciudadano MC). Today, he has been confirmed as the official governor-elect.
Pablo Lemus will officially assume the governorship of Jalisco on December 6 after the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation ratified his electoral victory this Wednesday.
The court rejected Morena’s challenge to the election in that state, so the Movimiento Ciudadano candidate’s victory at the polls was officially validated.
According to the first official result of the votes collected on June 2, Lemus surpassed Claudia Delgadillo, Morena’s candidate, with a more than five percent difference.
