Don’t miss the Day of the Dead Xantolo 2024 Parade in San Luis Potosi

During the celebration, the meaning of Xantolo (Chantolo) was shared, also known as the “feast of the souls”, where the Nahua people, through arts such as theater, music, dance, and painting, shared their culture and identity

As part of the “Xantolo is lived in your city” activities, the parade will feature Companies (Comparsas) and special guests such as Puebla and Colombia.

The State Government Education Secretariat (SEGE) announced that the monumental Xantolo 2024 parade will be held in San Luis Potosí, as part of the “Xantolo is lived in your city” program.

Colombia and the state of Puebla will participate in this third edition with special significance, elevating the event to an international projection with broadcasts in international media.

In addition, the queen of the Colombian carnival will be present along with a group of 40 participants and a band of 200 members who have stood out in international events.

Traditional groups from the Huasteca Potosina and personnel from various agencies and schools will also be part of the parade.

With a contingent of 2,500 people, families are expected to come dressed in costume to celebrate the Day of the Dead tradition.
