It is urgent to locate Víctor Manuel Guerrero Rojo, nephew of activist Gustavo Rojo, director of the Mazatlán Citizen Observatory and member of the State Public Security Council; he disappeared in Mazatlán; in Sinaloa, there have been nearly 189 missing in 25 days.

The Mazatlán Citizen Observatory is an open, plural, independent, and autonomous citizen body that activates accountability in local government through mechanisms of transparency and access to information.

The objective of this project is to achieve joint and co-responsible governance between government and society to achieve better standards in the quality of life in Mazatlán.

The Mazatlán Citizen Observatory seeks to be a citizen counterweight that more effectively activates Transparency and Accountability in the Municipal Government.

To limit opacity in the municipal government and create a new culture of transparency and accountability.

To make information available to citizens that is useful for decision-making. We seek to literally “open” public government information that is the property of everyone.
