The attackers shot at least six times and fled on a motorcycle.
In Cancún, Quintana Roo, armed individuals attacked the home of journalist César Guzmán, director of the police information page Code Rojo. The events occurred on the night of this Tuesday, July 16.
According to the first reports, the attackers were traveling aboard a motorcycle shot at least six times, and then fled. So far there are no reports of deaths or injuries.
Agents of the municipal police arrived at the scene, followed by personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Quintana Roo, which opened an investigation folder into these events. The journalist suffered a nervous breakdown.
It was the reporter himself who asked for help from the 911 emergency number, where he reported that individuals aboard a motorcycle had shot at his home, which is located in Region 201, Haciendas Real del Caribe subdivision, in Cancún, Quintana Roo.
Guzmán suffered a fall inside his home at the time of the shooting, so he requested an ambulance for his medical evaluation.
It should be remembered that César Guzmán was in the Journalist Protection Mechanism and had escorts, but they were removed two years ago.
