The National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team of Mexico, in which the Xalapeña, Kimberly Salazar López, participates, confirmed her return trip to the country due to the armed conflict between Israel and the Hamas group.

Through a video shared on social networks, Blajaith Aguilar, a Jalisco Rhythmic Gymnastics coach, said that they are currently at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv “ready to leave for Mexico.”

“The aircraft that is going to take us to our country has arrived, we are very happy that they were finally able to come and get us out of this situation that is so compromising and complicated.”

Aguilar thanked the support to spread the video in which they asked for help, as well as the Government of Mexico, the Army and Air Force, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mexican Gymnastics Federation.

It should be remembered that the national team was in Israel preparing for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

For her part, Kimberly is part of the group. She is a gold and bronze medal winner with Mexico in the ensemble Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. Additionally, she is the silver winner in the All Around event at the Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“We are very happy to return, we feel relieved and we can finally smile, we hope to see you soon in Mexico,” added Blajaith Aguilar.
