For this Thursday, intense punctual rains (from 75 to 150 millimeters [mm]) are expected in Campeche, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatán; very strong (from 50 to 75 mm) in places in the State of Mexico, Guerrero, Nayarit, Puebla, Sinaloa and Sonora; strong (from 25 to 50 mm) in areas of Chihuahua, Mexico City, Colima, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán and Morelos, as well as intervals of showers (from 5 to 25 mm) in Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Hidalgo, Nuevo León, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala and Zacatecas.
Higher intensity rainfall could be accompanied by electrical discharges, strong gusts of wind, and hailstorms, and generate landslides, increased levels of rivers and streams, overflows, and flooding in low-lying areas of the aforementioned states.
