A video circulates through social networks in which a driver of a cargo vehicle denounced the presence of suspected criminals using a laser beam to force him to stop and thus assault him while he was traveling through the Puebla-Orizaba highway at the height of Cumbres de Maltrata, on the border with the state of Veracruz.

In the recording, taken by the vehicle’s security camera, it is possible to observe flashes of green light that point directly to the cabin. At one point, said light manages to point directly at the camera and causes the image to turn all green.

While the vehicle continues to advance, some people are observed on the side of the road, who are the ones who flash and direct the light. In addition, one of them quickly crosses the road and almost manages to avoid the trailer.

There is also a vehicle stopped on the side of the road, which could possibly belong to the alleged criminals.

According to the recording, the events occurred on August 28 at around 10:54 p.m.

The user who shared the video, identified as jidanny “El Mardoqueo”, asked the governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García, and the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador to do something about the situation.

In another message, he reported that a vehicle that they wanted to assault managed to reach Orizaba, however, the driver suffered a bullet wound in the leg.

This is not the first time that a video of an assault with this type of modus operandi has gone viral on social networks.

Laser beams are thrown at a trailer driver

On Friday, October 7, 2022, the security camera of a trailer operator managed to capture how the alleged criminals are standing in the middle of the road and begin to throw laser beams into the eyes of the driver to make him to stop.

It is also observed that the subjects do the same with a motorist circulating in front of them. When both drivers stop, they robbed them.
