If you are a fan of water sports, then you cannot miss the Wind Festival 2023 that will take place in Bucerías, Nayarit, from May 11 to 14.
This event, organized by professionals of this sport, is considered the most important in the world of freestyle kiteboarding in Mexico.
It brings together more than 300 athletes from around the world who compete in different categories.
Why is the Wind Festival held in Bucerías?
The Festival takes place in Bucerías, Nayarit because it is known as the capital of the wind.
This is because it has exceptional weather conditions, with strong and constant air currents, as well as long waves and a 540-meter beach, making it the perfect setting for high-level competitions.
The objective of the Wind Festival is to improve the quality of water sports in our country and promote the Riviera Nayarit as the perfect place to practice them.
During the event, the International Kiteboarding Championship will take place, and there will be six competitions in different modalities of kitesurfing:
Downwind
Long distance
Big Airfoil and Twintip
Slalom
Freestyle Pro and Freestyle Old School
In addition to the competitions, there will be many activities that will be part of the event.
