Manolo Jiménez Salinas is the official Governor elect for the state of Coahuila

Manolo Jiménez Salinas was the winner in the Coahuila gubernatorial elections, with more than 55% of the total. He was representing the so-called Citizens’ Alliance for Security, a coalition formed by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), National Action Party (PAN), and the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD).

The businessman and politician from the state capital Saltillo graduated as an Industrial and Systems Engineer from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM).

In his career as a public official, he has served as:

 Local Representative of Coahuila (2011 - 2014),
 Alderman of the Saltillo City Council (2009-2010),
 State Political Advisor and Municipal Political Advisor by territory.

Jimenez Salinas was also Vice President of the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry from 2009 to 2011.

Jiménez Salinas, 38 years old, registered as a candidate for the governorship of Coahuila on March 23, 2023, as a representative of the Citizen Alliance for Security.

He will officially take office on December 1st, 2023.
