The senator and member of the Plural Group in the Upper House, Emilio Álvarez Icaza, criticized the rally called by Veracruz Governor Cuitláhuac García outside the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, in Mexico City which he described as “the worst expression of political lackeyism.”

On his Twitter account, Álvarez Icaza questioned: How much did it cost to bring 10,000 people from Veracruz to Mexico City to violently demonstrate, insult, and attack the Magistrates of the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice?

Alvarez Icaza stated: “We are seeing the worst expressions of political lackeyism with @CuitlahuacGJ,” whom he accused of being “incapable of stopping the violence in Veracruz.”

“Organized crime seems to be his ally. The citizens demand security and the governor using public money or money of dubious origin for their transportation, ”he sentenced.
