39 tons of cocaine seized in Ensenada, Baja California

The Secretary of the Navy of Mexico (Semar) reported the seizure of more than 39 tons of cocaine in the port of Ensenada, Baja California.

The naval unit reported that “personnel from the Second Naval Region, in coordination with the Customs and Maritime Authorities of the Port of Ensenada, secured three containers, which were on board a container ship and stored approximately 39,820 kilograms inside.” of material contaminated with cocaine.

“For the above, samples of the aforementioned material were sent to the Pharmacology and Toxicology laboratories of the Secretary of the Navy and the National Customs Agency of Mexico for their respective analysis, giving a positive result for cocaine”, therefore it was made available to the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) for the integration of the corresponding investigation folder.
