Mexican Army secures thousands of hectares of drug plantations in the state of Durango

As part of the Zero Impunity strategy, the Ministry of National Defense released the results of the operations against organized crime that took place from March 1 to 27, 2023 in the state of Durango.

According to a statement, the agency managed to arrest five people in flagrante delicto and they were made available to the authorities, which carried out various laboratory studies to determine the authenticity of various drugs that were seized. In total, the following was seized:

 51 thousand 0753 hectares of marijuana.
 249 marijuana plantations.
 838 thousand 0401 hectares of poppy.
 Three thousand 567 poppy plantations.
 0.138 kilograms of marijuana.
 0.068 kilograms of cocaine.
 0.103 kilograms of methamphetamine.
 Two short weapons.
 13 chargers.
 279 cartridges.
 Seven vehicles.
 Six thousand 170 pesos.
 Four laboratories.

These activities were carried out in strict adherence to the rule of law and with full respect for human rights, helping to preserve the public freedoms, order, and peace of Mexican society.
