According to Mata Quintero, director of Economic Development and Tourism, Asian and European companies use nearshoring to reduce costs by shortening distances

Saltillo benefits from its proximity to the United States to attract and install companies from Asia and Europe, through the business strategy known as “nearshoring.”

According to Mario Mata Quintero, the city’s director of Economic Development and Tourism, Saltillo’s strategic geographic location makes it an ideal destination for foreign and national companies seeking to be close to their final consumers.

The mayor of Saltillo, José María Fraustro Siller, has established public policies aimed at development to take advantage of these advantages. The objective is to create well-paid and secure jobs by generating favorable conditions for the arrival of a greater number of investments.

According to Mata Quintero, Asian and European companies use nearshoring to reduce costs by shortening distances and the time difference with their final consumers, who in many cases are in the United States.

Saltillo benefits from its privileged geographical position in Mexico to take advantage of these opportunities and attract a greater number of investments to the city.
