Dina Boluarte, president of Peru, decided to withdraw the diplomat after López Obrador decided to support the ” Coup d’état” in her country.

Dina Boluarte, president of Peru, reported this Friday, February 24, she will definitively withdraw his ambassador to Mexico, after his Mexican counterpart, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, expressed his support for former president Pedro Castillo.

“I have ordered the definitive withdrawal of our ambassador from the United Mexican States and, in this way, diplomatic relations between Peru and Mexico are formally at the level of in charge of affairs,” she said in a message to the media.

Boluarte explained that she decided to remove the diplomat after López Obrador decided to support the ” Coup d’état ” in Peru. “Mr. López has decided to support the coup d’état carried out by former President Pedro Catillo on December 7, 2022, the same one that generated the unanimous rejection of the institutions,” she said.

In addition, the president of Peru regretted the questioning from the Mexican president about her administration: “I strongly reject the secretions made today by the president of Mexico about internal affairs of Peru and the unacceptable questions that he repeatedly formulates (…) about my government”.

She also remarked that the president of Mexico “violated the principle of international law on non-interference in internal affairs”, which “seriously affected relations that favor ideological affinities.”

Dismissal of Pedro Castillo was a Coup d’état of conservatism’: AMLO

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador ignored the Peruvian Prime Minister’s demand and reiterated his criticism of the appointment of Dina Boluarte as president, a move that he described as a Coup d’état by the conservative sector.

“We have already given our point of view, we maintain the same thing, that it was a coup from the conservatism of Peru, from the bosses of Peru, like the conservatives in Mexico and other countries, are class-minded, racist and very corrupt,” AMLO commented when being questioned on the subject.

According to the Lopez Obrador, former President Pedro Castillo had the same luck as him in Mexico, countries where power groups “make life impossible” for governments elected by most of the people for not serving as instruments that facilitate theft, and looting.

“Here we are suffering but fortunately the majority of the people of Mexico are aware and no longer want an oligarchy to continue looting, impoverishing and harming our people,” he said.
