This was confirmed by Forbes magazine in its annual list of billionaires where the owner of the telecommunications group América Móvil, Telmex and Grupo Carso ranked in the global position of the list worldwide.
The Mexican businessman of Lebanese origin has a fortune of 81.2 billion dollars, an increase of 42% (about 18.4 billion dollars) in the pandemic.
Slim entered the list in 1991 with a wealth of 1.7 billion dollars and in 2014 he was the richest man in the world with a personal fortune of 54 billion dollars.
