Veteran drug lord Hector “Gûero” Palma transferred from maximum security prison to hospital

In the midst of a security operation, drug trafficker Héctor Luis “El Güero” Palma Salazar was transferred on Thursday, February 9th, from the Altiplano prison to the “Adolfo López Mateos” Medical Center, of the State of Mexico Health Institute (ISEM).

Around 4:00 in the afternoon, the security deployment began in the prison facilities located in the municipality of Almoloya de Juárez, due to the transfer of the drug trafficker to the hospital in an ambulance.

12 National Guard patrol cars, as well as vehicles of the Mexican Army. Upon arriving at the ‘El Güero Palma’ hospital, he entered an armored vehicle.

At the moment, the reasons why the capo was transferred to the hospital are unknown.

Who is ‘El Güero’ Palma?

Héctor Luis ‘El Güero’ Palma Salazar is a Mexican drug trafficker, and former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, along with Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán.

Since May 2021, the kingpin has been in custody in the Altiplano federal prison after being re-apprehended.
